Water Baptism at Christ Church is held quarterly throughout the year. Our next Water Baptism is June 24, 2018 @ 5pm at the East Campus (Montclair).

The day before baptism, there is a special session at which candidates have a final opportunity to change their minds. During the ceremony itself (which takes place after the two sermons of a standard church service) the candidate kneels and the bishop asks questions about the individual’s commitment to living a Christian life and to the church.

Why baptism matters so much to all Christians, and why the Holy Spirit, a new Christian, the gathered believers, and God’s Word come together there.
